Ex situ amphibian conservation programs
The Amphibian Ark's List of Ex Situ Conservation programs shows the progress of conservation breeding programs for threatened amphibian taxa. Separate entries are included for each managed population of a species, i.e. each country or regionally-managed population. The progress of each program is updated regularly, and includes a series of key steps in the progression of successful amphibian conservation programs.
You can browse all programs in the list, or view by specific country or species.
Follow the links on the menu at the left to view summary data for specific programs, and then click any program title to see the full details of the program. When using the list, if you hover the cursor over the column headings (e.g. Start, Offspring, F2 etc.), a small help box will be displayed, showing the description of each column. This will help with interpretation of the list details.
Please contact any of the program coordinators listed, or Amphibian Ark staff if you require additional information on a particular project.
